Such hypocrisy is characteristic of Indian society

Though I do not support #death penalty - given the heinous nature of the crime, this verdict ( http://goo.gl/nfT1ug ) is not unexpected.  When the judge tells about the gang rape incident as to have “shocked the collective conscience of society" ( http://goo.gl/Y7Q5QU ), it shows the sorry state of our criminal justice system. From the profiles of the youths involved in the case, I doubt, had they have some political connection, the verdict would have been same! Feel bad for the victim and also the mother of a guy who pleads to spare her son. In a TV Commercial, model Bipasa Basu asks her boy friend something like 'Would you love me if I get fatter?'  Women, to be more specific, the female body, is a commodity in every commercial and mainstream cinema and we are the direct or indirect consumers of the same. We will continue to put Facebook status "#Hang the rapists" and in our life, we would continue to treat women as a commodity in every sphere of life!
